I spent the weekend in GenSan (again) to attend an event organized by our good friends down south. Dubbed, Blogfest SOCCSKSARGEN, the event featured web luminaries from all over the world.
Notable speakers include Google Philippine’s Aileen Apolo-De Jesus, Digital Filipino’s Janette Toral, Presidential Communications Operations Office’s Jay Jaboneta, Seed Interactive’s Ryann Elumba, UP College of Mass Communication’s Danilo Arao, Commerce Collective’s Dale Palileo, Avatar Media’s Ria Jose, Tactical Technology Collective’s Bobby Soriano, and Mindanao Tourism Council’s Michelle Solon, among others.

I think may malaking galit sa akin si Orman Manansala.
If you have been living in a cave or have been hiding under a rock and don’t know him yet, he’s the Royal Gandaness of the blogosphere. Last August 1, nag-one year na ang blog niya. He asked me and Brendel, to go to GenSan. According to his facebook invitation, di daw pwedeng tumanggi.
Left with no choice, kahit puyat ako the night before, I forced myself out of bed and prepared myself for a 3-hour trip to GenSan.

If you are a regular reader of this blog. You may have noticed that a good number of posts here are about General Santos City. What can I say, I’m in love with GenSan and its people.
Credit goes to the SoCCSKSarGen Bloggers specially the Manansala siblings, Avel and Orman. They really know what hospitality means. I’m even beginning to think that they invented the concept.
GenSan Weekend Highlights

The opening of Isla Jardin del Mar wasn’t the only highlight of my trip down south last weekend.
Shortly after attending the opening of Sarangani’s newest white sand beach resort, we went to Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar at Robinsons Place GenSan for dinner. There, we enjoyed good music while feasting on Piyesta’s amazing menu selection which included the must-try kurastick, freshly-prepared sashimi, spicy-hot gambas, and the mouthwatering native tinolang manok.
