Kalilangan Festival 2010 – Day 1 Highlights
The festivities for the 71st founding anniversary of General Santos City was already in full swing when our select group of Davao Bloggers arrived in GenSan before noon yesterday.
Angel, Brendel, Chattee, Dulce, Ria, and I were invited by festival director, Orman O. Manansala, to serve as judges for Lakan and Lakambini and the Search for Mindanao Queen of Festivals.
Day 1 started with a fabulous lunch at Giacomino’s Pizza.
After our judging chores, the girls went to Robinson’s Mall to catch the Havaianas fashion show. I, on the other hand, joined GenSan’s power duo, Avel and Orman, at the Oval Plaza for the Binibining GandangHari pageant. Heads up to the ladies reading: Never ever make the mistake of watching gay pageants… It’s not good for your self-esteem. Hehehe!
Dinner and afterparty was at Piyesta where Chattee went crazy with her camera. Check out her photos below.
Come back tomorrow for Day 2 Highlights.
