GenSan Weekend Highlights
The opening of Isla Jardin del Mar wasn’t the only highlight of my trip down south last weekend.
Shortly after attending the opening of Sarangani’s newest white sand beach resort, we went to Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar at Robinsons Place GenSan for dinner. There, we enjoyed good music while feasting on Piyesta’s amazing menu selection which included the must-try kurastick, freshly-prepared sashimi, spicy-hot gambas, and the mouthwatering native tinolang manok.

Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar is owned and managed by fellow blogger Donna Mae Congson. You can really tell that the place is owned by a blogger just by looking at the menu which is adorned by photos of GenSan bloggers and plurkers.

The following day, Brendel and I were joined by bloggers, Alexis and Rabsky at the Manansala Mansion for lunch. Now I know why the Manansala siblings are so huggable — they have the best cooks! The chicken dish that Avel’s and Orman’s brother-in-law prepared for us will put popular chicken restaurants to shame.

And what good would a GenSan lunch be without GenSan’s popular export, grilled tuna and pork barbecue. Unbeknownst to many, GenSan also has the best pork barbecues. (INSIDER INFO: A number of popular barbecue joints in other cities, some as far as Cebu, source their marinated pork barbecues from GenSan).

I love reading your post Lyle. The pictures really did justice to Pyesta’s food and my niece’s and sister’s recipes.
Thanks for featuring them and for acknowledging the other bloggers too.
We always look forward to your visits here and can’t wait for your next this Kalilangan!

I can’t thank you enough for the hospitality and warm welcome.

The pictures don’t give justice to the food being photographed.
Ibang klase ang pagkain sa Mansion nyo. Sobrang sarap. I really think you can build a business around your family’s chicken recipe.
Can’t wait to go back.
