Fund Drive for Cagayan de Oro Flood Victims
Jan 16th
It’s all over the news. Approximately 80% of Cagayan de Oro’s barangays are flooded and basic resources such as food, medicine, and clothing are running low.
Fellow mindanao blogger, ChiQ Montes is raising funds to help the city’s flood victims. She is urging anyone who has cash to spare to make a $3 donation via Paypal (jamgfx@gmail.com). Funds collected will be used to fund a feeding program this coming weekend.
Taj Minar Indian Restaurant and Bar
Jan 15th
I was off to another food trip with a small group of bloggers last night at Taj Minar Indian Restaurant and Bar.
The restaurant is located at the Damosa Gateway in Lanang, Davao City. When Brendel and I arrived, Damosa Gateway was brimming with people which also meant fewer to non-existent parking spots. It took me a good 15 minutes to find an available spot. Well, I guess its a testament at how popular this strip of bars, cafés, and restaurants is.
Taj Minar is the place to go if you have a liking for flavorful vegetable and meat dishes infused with a wonderful blend of herbs and spices. They serve appetizers, sidings, main courses, drinks, and desserts that are representative of Northern, Central, and Eastern Indian cuisine as I learned from their very informative website.

Examinees are getting anxious as rumors are beginning to circulate through text messages and e-mails that the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has published a partial list of nursing board exam passers with surnames beginning in A and B.
HP Recovery Manager
Jan 8th
Every Windows Laptop from HP and Compaq comes with a handy recovery application called HP Recovery Manager which can be activated by simply pressing the F11 key (note: some notebooks may have a different key assignment) immediately after turning the notebook on. It’s a nice utility by which owners can restore their notebook to an earlier working state using Windows’ System Restore or reformat the laptop to its default factory settings without the hassle of re-downloading and re-installing device drivers.
