I had a blast at the Davao Bloggers Networking Event last night . The event was ably organized by Ms. Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino.com Club at the Pantawan Hall of Casino Filipino in Davao city.

The event was relaxed and informal. Bloggers were treated to a buffet of sumptuous food courtesy of event sponsor, PAGCOR. Attendees were given the chance to introduce themselves and promote their blogs. It was a fun opportunity to see the faces behind the blog posts.

Ms. Toral talked about updates on the DigitalFilipino.com Web Awards and Ratified.org’s Top 100 Blogs for 2008. My primary blog, Pinoy R.N. was recognized as part of the Philippine Top 100 Blogs for 2008 as ranked by Ratified.org.

But I guess you can’t have it all… after the program, some of us played a friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em Poker …and boy did I suck! I was the first one booted out of the game. Perhaps there’s some grain of truth to the popular adage — “lucky in love, unlucky in cards.“
