iPhone 3G Now On Sale in the Philippines
Yup, the much talked about mobile phone in history is officially available in the Philippines starting today. Apple’s 2nd round of worldwide release for the iPhone 3G is today, August 22, 2008. The first worldwide release was last month, July 11.
While the excitement over the local release is more subdued mainly because of the prohibitive price tag of exclusive carrier Globe Telecom, there is a glimmer of hope for the financially-challenged pinoys out there.
To mark its 2nd anniversary, Auction.PH is running a contest where users can “guess bid” the price of an iPhone 3G from Php 1.00 to Php 5,000. If they guess the bid price correctly, they get to buy the iPhone at that price.
To join, registered users simply need to login and register their guess bid. First time users may also join after creating a free account at Auction.PH
